New Edge Group was appointed by BESIX Watpac to deliver the full Mechanical and Electrical Design & Construct services for the new SCFDC Fresh and Chilled Distribution Centre in Eastern Creek. This landmark 75,843m² temperature-controlled facility features extensive fresh and chilled warehousing, mezzanine amenities, office accommodation, and a four-storey car park providing 762 car spaces, 216 bicycle bays and dedicated heavy-vehicle parking and queuing zones. New Edge Group’s mechanical scope included VRV air conditioning, heat-recovery outside air systems, compressed air pipework, battery-charging atmosphere monitoring, wind-driven ventilation, electric duct heating, pumps and VSDs, filtration, air distribution equipment, ductwork and insulation, switchboards, field wiring, BMS integration and DLP maintenance support. The electrical scope encompassed High Voltage (HV), Low Voltage (LV), power, communications and security services; cabling for E V chargers; provisions for dock leveller power outlets; power and data for audio-visual systems; cabling for security, CCTV and intercoms; communications room cabinets; floor distributor cabinets; RF access point infrastructure; a structured data cabling system; lightning protection; public address systems; all required service-trade interfaces; and full commissioning, O&M documentation, and preventative maintenance.
This project showcases New Edge Group’s end-to-end capability in large-scale, mission-critical, temperature-controlled environments — delivering efficiency, resilience and operational reliability for complex industrial facilities.
